Dementia Diagnostic Clinics in Wisconsin
Obtaining an accurate diagnosis of a dementia disorder is often the most important first step made by patients and families in their efforts to secure the education and support needed to cope with Alzheimer's disease. Diagnostic clinics provide evaluation and management services to patients and their families. A typical patient will undergo neuropsychological testing, a comprehensive history and physical examination and, if approprate, laboratory and x-ray testing during the initial evaluation. The involvement of a social worker is a routine and essential feature.
